Galliford Try’s Building North West team have been shortlisted for a prize at this year’s North West Regional Construction Awards, with the Lancaster University School of Maths being nominated as one of the projects of the year.

The North West Regional Construction Awards honour excellence in the construction industry across the North West of England and will be the 17th ceremony held by the organisation. The event is run by Constructing Excellence North West in conjunction with the University of Salford’s School of Science, Engineering, and Environment and the Centre for Construction Innovation.

The School of Maths has been shortlisted for the Lancashire Project of the Year award, with the client team at Lancaster University, also being shortlisted in the Client of the Year category, having been nominated by Galliford Try.

Darren Parker, Managing Director for Galliford Try Building North West, commented: “We are thrilled to have the School of Maths shortlisted for the Lancashire Project of the Year award. This is well-earned recognition for the project team and our stakeholders who together have created a fantastic new educational facility, and we will look forward to the ceremony this summer.”

The awards will be held on 6 July at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool. Winners will then be put forward for consideration for the national Constructing Excellence Awards, which will be held in London in November.
